WELL, HOWDY! COME ON IN!
Southern Thunder is an exciting country band featuring outstanding vocal harmonies and exceptional instrumentals, playing a rare blend of current Top 40 hits and favorite country classics, with heart, soul and a touch of sass!
The band is headquartered in southern California and performs primarily at venues throughout the Los Angeles, Orange County and Inland Empire areas. The members of Southern Thunder are highly talented performers with many years of professional entertainment experience.
Lead vocals are provided by Janét Lee, in a versatile and lyrical voice covering a variety of styles, from Patti Loveless to Wynonna, from Linda Ronstadt to Patsy Cline. Janét is a singer/songwriter, currently at work on recording her debut CD.
Two of Janét's original songs will be heard in the feature film The Vanguard, which is slated for release in 2006.

JANÉT LEE
Janét has a lifelong history in entertainment, beginning when she appeared in a commercial at age 5. While in high school in New Orleans, she appeared weekly as a dancer on a local TV show, performed in drama productions, sang in chamber music and chorale groups, and was a member of the award-winning female singing quartet The Flowers. The busy pop group performed on TV and radio and was offered a demo contract by Decca Records. A dancer while in college, Janét was sidelined by marriage, family and graduate school for several years and then began modeling and returned to acting and singing. She is an award-winning actress, having worked in theater, commercials, TV and film, and has sung in many venues including musical theater, cabaret, piano bar, and with country, blues and rock bands.
Her musical influences are many, including the earthy blues and soul of New Orleans, the carefree exuberance of Cajun and bluegrass music, and the pure emotion of classic country legends. In 2002 she formed Southern Thunder with the goal of offering southern California audiences a blend of golden country classics and the "new country" sound of current Top 40 hits.
Janét is also a busy songwriter and is currently recording a CD entitled (what else?) Southern Thunder, including several of her original songs. An 8-song CD is now available, as work continues toward the final 12-song version. Two original songs from the album will be heard in the feature film The Vanguard, in which Janét also stars. The film is expected to be released in 2005.
